So with or without that pretty sky lantern most of us started adoring ever since Tangled: I wish we’d all have our fairytales unfolding beautifully before our eyes :) Here’s to holding on to that string of hope tied to happy endings, beginnings, and in-betweens ♥ | In other news, hello Bloglovin (Since my tabs are so messy whenever I check blogs haha) :)
Last week I was invited to the opening of the Budji+Royal Exhibit at Museo Walo Alabang. It felt good receiving a mailed invite! The web just makes everything so convenient especially when it comes to sending invitations that’s why hardcopies seem so effortful these days :)) Don’t be surprised if I start sending letters, I’m now an advocate of the soon to be extinct snail mail.

Just in case you haven’t heard of them, Budji Layug (Right) and Royal Pineda (Left) are internationally known design architects - Budji handles the furniture & interior design while architectural designs go to Royal. 2001 Collaboration.
Some of their projects: Discovery Shores (Boracay, Philippines), The Garden (KL, Malaysia), World Health Organization (Regional Office in SEA), Aboitiz (Cebu, Philippines), Kenneth Cobonpue Residence (Philippines), etc.

The place was filled! My friend and fellow art/design enthusiast, Chay, hosted the event & she looked lovely :) Hello Chay! Thanks again! It was nice seeing you, I still think you didn’t sound nervous! | Off topic: I loved her lace dress & soft curls! Pretty white dresses are rare, it sucks that I never find any :))

The minimalist exhibit used a play of lights, bamboos, and white cotton-like curtains: a Modern Asian or Tropical theme was quite expected haha since most of B+R designs revolve around that concept.
Printed on one of the walls is B+R design philosophy: Design in whatever discipline, reaches excellence when form and function co-exist harmoniously.

Budji+Royal is part of the Batis Project - a hotel & balneo resort in Laguna :)

Museo Walo is set up to showcase and give tribute to the outstanding talent and skill of eight living, legendary Filipino artists. Maybe this time you’d look a little different. Okay, maybe not.
If there was one thing I miss about my previous dSLR is that it takes pretty neat panoramic shots. I named it Dovs, short for Dostoevsky - a favorite figure of my English and Literature block back in my first and second years of college. Dovs is with my sister now. I’ve yet to name my new Canon baby. I name things. Something I did a lot when I was back in grade school. Now, only dSLRs have names. Oh, I’ve grown.
#5 Panorama shots make me happy.
